How To Tell If The Job Or Process Should Be Outsourced

2. The Job is Seasonal

If the job is not something that needs to be done all the time, you don’t have to hire more full-time employees for it.  It’s understandable to want to get more staff during the peak season but what happens to them afterwards when the workload diminishes?  In this case, outsourcing reduces labour costs because your outsourcing partner can manage your projects for you during busy periods as the need arises.    

3. Recruitment, Hiring and Training for the New Job Will Incur More Expenses

The whole process of recruiting, selecting, and orienting new employees for a new job will also require your funds, time and effort.  Taking everything into account, if the cost of the whole process is greater than the expenses for outsourcing, then it shouldn’t be too hard for you to decide.  

4. The Task is Time-consuming but Not as Essential as Others.

Some jobs are meticulous by nature and need more attention to detail.  If you delegate such a job to members of your team who are already managing other tasks, however, the job may not be executed properly or it could take longer to complete.  It would certainly be an excellent option to outsource jobs like these.
